  • Your own model keys — Sophia ships no cloud key and never falls back to one silently

  • A single local daemon: your knowledge and code graphs living inside an encrypted SQLite database, plus a document vault and wiki
  • A native system-tray supervisor — daemon status at a glance, start/stop/restart, one click into the owner UI
  • An MCP surface your agents connect to with scoped, mintable credentials
  • Files on disk that stay yours — the database is a projection of them, not the other way around
